ROSS - Marjorie June (nee Gillstrom) passed away on Friday, September 2, 2011, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Gravelbourg, SK, with family by her side. June was born in Regina on December 14, 1926, and grew up there with her three brothers. After graduating from high school she went into training at the Grey Nuns hospital to become a Registered Nurse. A fellow graduate brought June to Kincaid where she met Ron, the love of her live, and began a lifetime of nursing, raising a family and being a part of the many organizations that keep a small town running. She will be fondly remembered for her care and compassion as a nurse, her devotion to her church and the many other small town activates she was a part of. Her family and extended family will always remember her as a person who made them feel like they were the most important person in her life. After June and Ron retired, they enjoyed their trailer and went on many trips alone and with their grandchildren. She was very proud of her family and supported them in all of their endeavors. June enjoyed a variety of activities including dancing, reading, quilting, community arts and sports events, but most of all she loved to be a gracious hostess and entertained a lot of family and friends. June leaves to mourn her loving family, son Brent (Ruby) Ross, grandson Jay (Melanie) Ross and their children Brendan and Gillian, grandson Bryan (Holly) Ross and their children Owen and Aurora, granddaughter Sheri (Jason) Luciak and their children Brianna and Taylor, grandson Mark (Krista) Ross and their children Calli and Jake; daughter Beverly (Vern) Seibel, grandson Brett (Elaine) Seibel and their children Casimir and Joelle, grandson Michael Seibel; special daughter Jhansi (Subhas) Koneru, granddaughter Anjani (Blayne) Thibodeau and their children Narayan and Avani, grandson Raghu Koneru and foster daughter Miranda; brothers Roger (Joan) Gillstrom, Bryan (Maryanne) Gillstrom and Owen Gillstrom; in-laws Richard and Lois Ross, Alice Ross, Marj and Earl Barnholden, Barbara and Ken Jestin, Erle and Vivian Stinson, and many nieces and nephews. Preceased by her parents Charles (1964) and Martha (1984); husband Ron (2008) and many sisters and brothers-in-law. Funeral Service was held on Friday, September 9, 2011, at 2:00 p.m., in the Glencaid United Church, Kincaid, SK, with Pamela Scott officiating. The music was provided by Nicki Ford. The eulogy was shared by June’s grandchildren. Scripture readings were given by Holly Ross and Elaine Seibel. Urn bearer was granddaughter Sheri Luciak. Honorary pallbearers were grandchildren Jay Ross, Bryan Ross, Sheri Luciak, Mark Ross, Brett Seibel, Michael Seibel, Anjani Thibodeau and Raghu Koneru. Interment took place at the Kincaid Cemetery. Memorial tributes in memory of June to the Arthritis Society of Saskatchewan, 110-2550 12th Ave., Regina, SK S4P 3X1, Kincaid and District Community Rink Box 126, Kincaid, SK S0H 2J0 and Glencaid United Church, Kincaid, SK S0H 2J0, were greatly appreciated.
