Passed peacefully away on September 4, 2011 at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Care Centre, Evelyn Smith, of Bishop’s Falls. She was 86 years of age. Left to mourn are husband, John; son, David (Ruth) of Port-aux-Basques and daughters, Maude (Walter) of Powell River, BC, & Kimberly of Campbell River, BC. Also leaving to mourn sister, Dora Noel; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Pastor Barry Pelley conducted funeral services at the Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle in Bishop’s Falls on Tuesday, September 6, 2011. Interment followed at the Pentecostal Cemetery, Bond Street. Funeral arrangements were by Hoskins Funeral Home, Bishop’s Falls. Pallbearers were Gerald Dillon, Ellison Hamlyn, Lloyd Harnum, John Lingard, David Mills, and Jim Wells. For condolences online visit
