Walter Johnson passed away surrounded by his loving family at St. Catharines General Hospital on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2011. Father to Scott Johnson (Tamara), Joanne Johnson (Rod Sprules); grandfather to Colin, Andy and Katie Johnson; and brother to his surviving siblings, Thelma Manzer (Parker), Lois Anthony and Roger Johnson (Marion); his deceased siblings, Lillian Wilhelm (Allen) and Ralph and Carl Johnson; and son to Walter and Isabelle Johnson. He was a kind, loving, intelligent, hardworking, straightforward man who provided support and joy to those around him. He had a wonderful sense of humour and loved his family very much. Funeral service was held Sept. 24 in the Armstrong Funeral Home chapel, Port Colborne, Ont. Interment followed at Overholt Cemetery, Bethel, Ont. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and orderlies at St. Catharines General Hospital who treated him with compassion, tenderness and dignity during the last week of his life.
