It is with great sadness that the family of the late Brian Joseph (Dusty) O’Keefe announces his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at the age of 52 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his loving wife Violet of 33 years, daughter Marie (Cory Gillard), son Michael (Crystal), granddaughter Rebecca, grandsons: Michael and John, mother Sarah O’Keefe, sisters: Anne Marie O’Keefe, Jocelyn (Bill Greene), Janet (Rob Byng) of Benoit’s Cove, NL, Patricia (Byron Peddle) of Ontario, brothers: Bernard (Charmaine), Don (Jackie), Patrick of Ontario, also a large circle of nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family in Benoit’s Cove, Gallants, and Ontario. He leaves also his sidekicks Charlie, John, Bernie and Gary. He was predeceased by father Leonard and brothers: Leonard Jr. and William. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Friday, September 30, 2011 from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. Funeral Service will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday October 1, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. with Sister Mildred Chabssol officiating. Cremation will take place. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ALS Society. The family also would like to send thanks to the nurses and Staff of Emergency and the Intensive Care Unit of the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, and a special thanks to Doctors Scott, Whitten, Vanwijk, Dutoit, Taylor and Gary Bradbury And a big thanks to the ALS Society.
