Peacefully at her home, with her family at her side, on Tuesday, October 20, 2009, Mary Ida Brooks, age 56, of Sarnia.
Beloved wife of Carl Brooks. Loving mother of Daniel Brooks and Shannon Weaver. Cherished grandmother of Nolan Weaver. Sadly missed by niece Michele Leivo and her family and nephew Michael Brooks and his family. Dear sister of Wayne MacDonald of East Bay, NS, Francis Lund of Marion Bridge, NS, and Michael MacDonald of East Bay, NS.
Predeceased by her parents Michael and Catherine MacDonald.
Mary worked at the Bank of Nova Scotia, Northgate Branch. She volunteered for the Heart & Stroke Foundation and Relay for Life, and her greatest joys were her family and grandson.
Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, October 24, 2009, from 11-1 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, with a memorial service following at 1 p.m.
