NEW GLASGOW – With deep sadness, I Theresa, announce the passing of my dearest husband, Allison “Al” Diamond, of Mountain Road, New Glasgow, on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 in the Palliative Care Unit of the Aberdeen Hospital.
Born in New Glasgow, Al was a son of the late Gertrude (Coulson) and Jack Diamond.
Al worked for the Canadian National Railway for many years.
Al is survived by his devoted wife and one true love Theresa (Dungale). They were married for over 50 years. Also surviving are, niece Karen (Glenn) White, New Glasgow, and their children, Kaela and Richard; nephew Paul (Jocelyn) Diamond, Abercrombie, and their children Colby and Janessa; sister-in-law Elizabeth Dean, Calgary, Alberta; brother-in-law Norman Hunter, New Glasgow; sisters, Shirley and Beverly and their families.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by dear brother Blair “Bub” Diamond, sister-in-law Mary Hunter, brother-in-law John Dungale (August 2011) of California.
Al was a member of Christ Anglican Church in Stellarton.
As were Al’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service.
Any donations in Al’s memory may be made to Christ Anglican Church, Stellarton.
