Douglas Sydney Roberts passed away on October 26, 2011 in St. Paul’s Hospital, Saskatoon.
The funeral service honouring Doug’s life will be held at the W.J. Jones & Son’s Funeral Home, 106 Athabasca Street East, Moose Jaw, Sask. on Wednesday, November 2, 2011, 1:30 PM.
Doug is survived by his devoted wife, Alma; three daughters, Tanice (Vern) Knorr, Shawna (Byron) Senger, and Cheryl (Steve) Peddie; one son, Blake (Carolle) Roberts; two granddaughters, Paige Knorr and Rachel Knorr; and one grandson, Nathaniel Roberts; as well as relatives in the US and England. Doug was predeceased by his parents Mal and Betty Roberts, and his only sister, Frances. He was born on December 9, 1935 and lived all his life in Saskatchewan.
The Roberts family expresses sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of St. Paul’s ICU and 6th floor Observation and heartfelt thanks to the Saskatoon Home Care caregivers who treated him with dignity and generous doses of TLC for the last two years.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Acadian-McKague’s Funeral Centre in Saskatoon and the W.J. Jones Funeral Home in Moose Jaw. Interment will take place at the Sunset Cemetery, Moose Jaw.
Doug will be loved and remembered, always, by those near and dear to him and respected by all those who knew him well.
