GLOECKLER - Jean Summerville age 85 of Edmonton, Alberta passed away October 20th, 2011 at the Jubilee Lodge in Edmonton. The grave side service was held on Monday, October 24, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. from Memory Gardens Cemetery in Swift Current, SK with Reverend Bonita Chad officiating. Honorary Pallbearers included all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. The Piper was Neil McCrie. Jean is survived by her sons Lloyd F. (Delaine) and Ken (Joan); grandchildren, Lloyd C.E. (Tammi) Gloeckler, Tabatha (Wes) Neustaeter, Scott Gloeckler, Trevor (Kelly) Gloeckler, Maranda Glockler (Brad), Travis (Amber) Gloeckler, Trenton Gloeckler, Justin Gloeckler, James Gloeckler and Anne Gloeckler; 8 great grandchildren and a special friend who was like a daughter to Jean, Linda McCallum and her very close friend Ann Esson. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 53 years Lloyd C. Gloeckler and parents Fergus and Mary Love; her sister and brother-in-law Cathy (Mike) McDonought; and one granddaughter Melainie Gloeckler. Jean was born in Greenock Scotland on October 8, 1926. On July 14th 1945 she married Lloyd C. Gloeckler in Scotland and moved to Swift Current and together they started their life and family. She was employed at Woolworth for many years until her retirement. Jean was a Legion Ladies Auxilary member. She loved to spend time browsing in stores and having tea with family and friends. Jean was a loyal Legion bingo player. Her and Lloyd loved to dance and enjoyed traveling. Jean's grandchildren were her pride and joy. We have been blessed to have mom (grandma) in our lives for so many years and look forward to our reunion with her in heaven. Warren's Funeral Home were entrusted with the arrangements.
