GAUVIN, ERNEST - 1925 - 2011 - Ernest Gauvin, 86, of Villa du Repos, Moncton and formerly of Parkton, passed away on Friday, November 4th, 2011, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center. Born in Saint-Damien, NB, he was the son of the late Ben and the late Hélène (née: Lison) Gauvin. Mr. Gauvin had retired from l’École Saint-Henri. He enjoyed music, especially the violin and also playing cards. He was a member of the Club d’Age d’Or and Notre-Dame-de-Grâce parish. He is survived by his wife, Eva (née: LeBlanc); one daughter, Jeannette Gauvin of Moncton; two sons: Roger (Rosetta) and Terry (Diane), both of Moncton; one brother, Aurèle (Marie) of Oshawa, ON; three grandchildren: Chantal, Jamie and Jason; five great grandchildren: Jazmine, Ariana, Taylor, Janelle and Eric as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one daughter, Dorine; three sisters: Alice, Yvonne and Alcidie and also by one brother, Arthur.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB, (857-1901), on Tuesday from 7 to 9 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated from Notre-Dame-de-Grâce Roman Catholic Church, (Parkton) Moncton, NB, on Wednesday, November 9th, 2011 at 11 am.
