It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the passing of our dear husband, father and brother Bob on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Toronto, Ont., he was the son of the late Robert and Anna (Cameron) Cooper.
Bob graduated from Acadia University with a bachelor of arts majoring in economics. He continued his studies at Saint Mary’s University where he graduated with a Master of business administration focusing in marketing. He continued his studies while employed by Thorne Ernst and achieved a chartered accountant designation. Bob spent many years providing leadership at Clearwater where he helped develop the Canadian offshore clam fishery and earned respect through friendship with the workers and managers alike-Bob was a boss for the workers not of the workers. Bob concluded his career at New Dawn Enterprises as chief operating officer. Bob’s financial expertise and strategic thinking were admired, respected and relied upon by his New Dawn colleagues.
Bob was an avid sports fan and participated in many team sports growing up such as grade school hockey and high school basketball. Bob was especially fond of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Bob travelled the world with his friends and family to watch his favourite sporting events.
