Passed on: November 24th, 2011

January 11, 1948 – November 24, 2011
Linda Senkiw, beloved wife of Orest Senkiw of Calgary, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2011 at the age of 63 years.
Linda was born in Moose Jaw, SK and grew up on the family farm, heavily involved in 4H. She first met Orest through friends while curling. They were married on July 10, 1971 and recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary.
Shortly after marrying, Linda had two wonderful kids amid a flurry of worldwide travel. No matter where the family settled, Linda drew people to her and enjoyed a wonderful social circle. They settled in Calgary where she was an active member of the community and an enthusiastic supporter of the local education system.
She was challenged with multiple sclerosis too young in life but never allowed it to dampen her spirits. She was happy and upbeat, and managed to find humour in all situations. She lived life with a grace that few can claim to have.
Besides her loving husband Orest, Linda will be sadly missed by her daughter Michelle (Paul); son Steven; mother-in-law Vera; brother Larry (Fay) as well as family and friends. She loved and was deeply thankful for everyone in her life
Funeral Services were held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W., Calgary, AB), on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on December 2, 2011 at the Pleasantview Cemetery in Wynyard, SK.
