HALLIDAY, Leigh Oswald - 88 of Hillsburn, Annapolis Co., passed away November 19, 2011, in Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Victoria Beach, he was the son of the late Morland and Lydia (Milbury) Halliday. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Doris (Condon) Halliday. He is survived by his son, Gary (Linda) and daughter, Sharon Everett, both of Hillsburn; nine grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; brothers, Ernest, Curtis, Claire, Kenneth and Alton; sisters, Helena Longmire and Wilma Chute. He was predeceased by daughter, Lois Turner; grandson, Dana; sons-in-law, Sherman Turner and Lawrence Everett; brothers, Percy, Ronald, Ross, Reggie and Rodney; sisters, Geraldine Difford, Lottie Gregory and Elise McNutt. Leigh was a fisherman and upon retirement he continued in the industry as a boat builder and smoked fish in his later years. He loved the outdoors and spent many hours hunting and enjoying his many camping trips to Keji. His grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of his life. Visitation was held Tuesday, November 22 with the funeral service held Wednesday, November 23, 2011, all from the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal with Eric Lockhart and Denis Comeau officiating. Burial followed in Hillsburn Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to the Annapolis Community Health Centre or Hillsburn Cemetery.
