September 1, 1932 - November 29, 2011. Passed peacefully away after a courageous battle with cancer at the L.A. Miller Centre, Palliative Care Unit, Roland John Rowe of Thornlea. Predeceased by daughter Rose Marie McCarthy, parents Charles and Elsie Rowe, brother Abraham Rowe, parents-in-law Joseph and Emma Thorne. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories wife Dorcas in their 58th year of marriage; children: Ellwood (Christine), Margaret (Frank Pippy), Derek (Maxine), and Patricia Emma; grandchildren: Jason Rowe (Stephanie), Jeff Rowe, Roland McCarthy (Krissy), Scott McCarthy (Julie), Jeanette McCarthy (Darren Pilgrim); step-granddaughter, Lisa (Rob Warren); great-grandchildren: Riley Rowe, Kailey Rowe and Logan McCarthy; step-great-grandchildren: Brandi Warren, Robbie Warren; son-in-law Cecil McCarthy; brother David Rowe (Hazel); special sister-in-law, Minnie Thorne; brothers-in-law: Eric Thorne (Pheobe), Bill Thorne (Ethel), Tom Thorne (Marjorie); sisters-in-law, Rose Thorne, Ruby Thorne and Minnie Thorne; very special friends: Philip and Vera Brace, also a large circle of family and friends.
