JEAN PALMER

Jean Marguerite Palmer, age 95, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, Wednesday, November 30, 2011. Jean was born on the farm near Boharm June 4, 1916. She was predeceased by her parents Charles and Elizabeth Brentnell, husband William (Bill), and her brother, Jim (Bertie) Brentnell. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her two sons, Gerald (Eileen) and Blair (Pam); grandchildren Dave, Barb, Lori (Dave), Scott (Tammy) and Stefanie (Scott); great-grandchildren: Sidnee, Linkyn, Liam and Christopher; sister, Edith Benson and brothers: Roy (Neta), Harvey (Erima) and Ralph Brentnell. Jean had many fond memories growing up on the family farm and she enjoyed gardening. Jean and Bill celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary just prior to Bill's passing in July 2001. They loved to travel and took many trips to different countries in Europe, Hawaii and very much enjoyed their winter vacations in Arizona. She taught Sunday School at Minto United Church and was a long time member of the UCW. Jean was also a 50 year member of the Associated Canadian Travelers Ladies Auxiliary. A Celebration of Jean's Life will be held at the W.J. Jones & Son Funeral Chapel, 106 Athabasca St E., Moose Jaw, Monday, December 5, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. Della Ferguson will officiate. Memorialization will take place privately at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Saskatchewan Lung Association, 1231 8th St. E. Saskatoon, SK S7H OS5 would be gratefully accepted.
