Barbara Anne McKee (nee Baker)
August 10, 1936 – November 24, 2011

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Barbara Anne McKee (nee Baker). Barb was an active Squamish Nation Elder who always welcoming time spent visiting with her relatives and peers. She will be greatly missed by her mother Emily Baker (nee Rivers); daughter Brenda Turnbull (Bruce); sons Craig and Christopher McKee; grandson Robert Turnbull and Great Grandson Tyler McKee. Barbara is also survived by her siblings Pricilla Padlosky (Walter), Kenneth Baker (Gail), Pauline Spence, Ronald Baker, Nancy Nightingale, Faye Halls (Billy) and Charles Baker. Barbara’s legacy is her daily calls to mom and her constant love for family and friends - these will forever be cherished.

Barbara has been cremated as requested; a memorial service honouring her life will be held at First Memorial Funeral home, 1505 Lillooet Road, North Vancouver, BC on December 2, 2011 (Friday) at 10:00 a.m. Donations in Barb’s memory can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of BC, 1212 West Broadway, Vancouver, BC, V6H 3V2 www.heartandstroke.bc.ca.
