KIERSTEAD, KEVIN - It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Kevin Clay Kierstead. Born on July 18, 1951, Kevin was a son of Vera Viola (nee Keith) Kierstead of Havelock and the late Murray Wallace Kierstead. He is survived by his brothers: Paul Murray, Lance Dale, Danny Lynn and Michael Todd; his sister Shawna Lisa Sheri and several nieces and nephews. Besides his father, Kevin was predeceased by his partner Murray Winslow and his sister Misty Leigh. Kevin graduated from Petitcodiac Regional High School and later N.B. Community College, Moncton. Kevin lived most of his adult life in Vancouver, B.C. and was employed by the B.C. Government. In 2006 he retired and returned to New Brunswick to live on a small hobby farm in Salem. Kevin had a passion for travel which he did extensively. He loved to read and write and attended writing classes at UBC. Kevin was a member of the United Church of Vancouver. He loved helping others and was very active in fundraising for his church and his community. Kevin, we love you and will miss your laughter, wit and offbeat humor.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Armstrong’s Funeral Home, 33 Russell Street, Petitcodiac, from where a celebration of Kevin’s life will be held, Thursday, December 15, 2011 from 5 to 8pm.
