POIRIER, ROBERT A. - 1919 – 2011 - Cocagne – Previoulsy from Shediac Bridge, Robert Poirier, 92, passed away peacefully at the Foyer Côte d’Or, on Thursday, December 15, 2011, after a lengthy illness. Born in Shediac Bridge on October 28, 1919, he was the son of the late Albert and Henriette (Thibodeau) Poirier. He was a veteran in the Second World War and also a previous owner of Alexander’s Cabin in Shediac Bridge. Robert will be sadly missed by his daughter, Dolorès Maillet (Jean-Paul) of Shediac River; his son, Walter Poirier of Shediac River; his two granddaughters, Mae and Mia; also several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Edith (Doucet) and his four brothers, Philippe, Henri, Alonzo and Pierre.
