Don G. Wadden, 59, of Moncton, N.B., with his loving wife, Anne Marie and sons at his side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Monday evening, Dec. 26, 2011, following complications from an aneurysm.
Born in Sydney, N.S., he was the son of Stanley and Pauline (Neville) Wadden of Sydney, N.S.
Don was co-owner and operations manager of Wadden Drilling and Blasting Ltd. He attended St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church and was a graduate of Dalhousie University Engineering. An avid sports fan, Don was mechanically inclined and enjoyed his three Harley Davidson motorcycles, cars, fishing and boating. He enjoyed spending time at the cottage in Red Island, Cape Breton, socializing with his friends and spending precious time with his family, especially the pride and joy of his life, granddaughter, Claire and grandson, Callum.
In addition to his parents, Don will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 37 years, Anne Marie (MacIsaac) Wadden; loving sons, Scott (Marie) of Sackville, N.B., Jeff of Toronto, John (April) of Moncton, David of Moncton; precious grandchildren, Claire and Callum; brother, Stanley (Patricia) of Dartmouth, N.S.; seven nieces and nephews.
Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Rd., Moncton, 506-858-1995, Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, 10:30 a.m., Rev. Yvon Arsenault officiating. Reception in the parish hall following the Mass.
