JULIANO, JOSEPH HERBERT - Following a battle with Cancer, the death of Herbie Juliano, husband of the late Mabel (McLeod) Juliano occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on December 9, 2011. He was born on December 2, 1929 in Bathurst to the late Nazaire and Elizabeth (Chamberlain) Juliano. Herbie worked for many years with CP Railway - Smith Transport until his retirement. He enjoyed playing darts and watching hockey and baseball. Herbie was a faithful mall walker, with most of the clerks knowing his name. He also had a fondness for animals, always having a pet. Herbie is survived by his son, Michael (Judy) of Saint John; two daughters: Christine Handren of Barrie, ON and Joanne Norton (Michael) of Edmonton, AB; six sisters: Agnes Lavigne, Carmella Couture, Sylverina Juliano, Angela Juliano, Mary Brideau, Rita Dufresne and brother, George (Eileen); six grandchildren: Weston, Lacie, Melissa (Fletcher), Victoria "Tori", Jeremy (Nancy) and Curtis (Ellen). He was predeceased by his parents, brother, Tony and sister, Evelyn.
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan's Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (634-7425). The funeral service will take place from Bay View Chapel on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at 2:00 PM. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
