SISK, MARGARET COOPER - The passing of Margaret Cooper Sisk of Windsor Court, formerly of Lincoln, NB, occurred Sunday, January 1, 2012 after a brief period of declining health. Born in Point Wolfe, NB on April 26, 1921 she was the daughter of Vaughn and Mary Ann Horsman. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years Joseph L. (Joe) Sisk in 2008. She is survived by sons Tom (Davida), Peter (Liz); granddaughters Kate and Erin; step-grandsons, John Morrison, Ed Morrison, Hugh Morrison; and many nieces and nephews.
Margaret grew up in Alma, NB, and trained as a nurse at Chipman Memorial Hospital, St. Stephen, NB. A long time resident of the Fredericton area, she was a homemaker and volunteer with the Boy Scouts, Red Cross and Chimo. She attended Wesley United Church, Lincoln, NB.
Visitation will be held at McAdam's Funeral Home, 160 York Street, Fredericton, NB (458-9170) on Wednesday, January 4, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will take place in the J. A. McAdam Memorial Chapel on Thursday, January 5, 2011 at 2:00 pm with Rev. H. G. MacKenzie officiating. A private family interment will be in the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
