SMITH, ANNA - At the Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton on Monday, January 10th, 2012 Anna Lourdes Smith of Fredericton, passed away peacefully in her sleep with her loving husband by her side. Born in South Nelson Miramichi, daughter of the late Michael and Annie (Dower) Blacquier. Anna is survived by her loving husband, Lloyd, daughter, Judy Robichaud of Saint John; son Bruce Murphy of Fredericton; step-daughters, Debbie May of Chipman and Daphine Smith of Melbourne Australia; sister Mary (Harim) Smith of Florida; brother Michael (Dianne) Blacquier of Oromocto; step-grandchildren; Hannah, Sam, Zac and Chloe; nieces and nephews. Predeceased by two brothers, George and Ray Blacquier. Anna grew up and graduated in Chipman then furthered her education at the Saint John Nursing School. After graduation she moved to Fredericton where she worked as a nurse for 29 years at the Chalmer’s Regional Hospital.
Funeral service will be held from the Chipman Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 14th, 2012. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Canadian Diabetes Association or donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Condolences may be made through www.chipmanfuneralhome.ca
