RICHARD, GÉRARD - 1921 - 2012 - It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Gérard Richard, on Thursday, January 26, 2012, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 90. Born in Acadieville, on October 31, 1921, he was the son of late Phyllias Richard and late Geneviève (Jane) Daigle. He will be sadly miss by his loving wife for 64 years, Dorilla Roach. Besides his wife, he is survived by 10 children: Georges, Yvon (Rita), Jean-Guy (Géraldine), Hélèna (Raymond) all of Rogersville, Eva (Laurie) of College Bridge, Alyre (Jocelyne), Roger (Hazel) both of Moncton, Jeanne (Mario) of Dalhousie Junction, Normand (Lucienne) of Rogersville and Marc (Mary) of Fredericton; his grandchildren : Martine, Sébastien, Fannie, Isabelle, Luc, Renelle, Francis, Marc-André, Nicholas, Lisa, Samantha, Katelyn and Christy; two great grandchildren : Ryan and Zachary; three sisters in law : Eveline (late Jean-Baptiste), Mathilda (late Aldéric) and Annette (late Alyre), as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by three infant children, as well as three brothers : Jean-Baptiste, Aldéric and Alyre.
Family will be receiving relatives and friends, beginning at 2pm, Sunday, January 29, 2012, at the salon La Colombe, 11325 highway 126 Rogersville. The funeral service will be held at the St-Francois-de-Sales RC church of Rogersville, Monday, January 30, at 11am
Visiting hours : Sunday from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm and Monday from 9 :30 am untill the departure for the funeral. Donations can be made to the Monument Assomption of Rogersville or Rogersville cemetary. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of ‘La Colombe’ Funeral Cooperative, Tracadie-Sheila.
