Formerly of Sparsholt, England, Kath passed away peacefully after a short stay in St. Mary’s Hospital on January 22, 2012, at the age of 93. She was predeceased by her husband Arnold in 1964.
Kath, fondly known as Nan by her family, made Sechelt her home after emigrating from England in 1978. A resident of Greencourt for many years, she enjoyed her small garden and the company of her fellow residents. She was a long-time member of St. Hilda’s Church, a member of the Stroke Club and the Seniors Centre.
Left to cherish her memory are daughters Christine Hunter of Sechelt, BC, Debbie Leslie (Dan) of Ninette, Manitoba and son Michael Brewer (Kerry) of Douglas, Manitoba, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Kath’s life will be held in Sechelt at a later date. Those who wish may make a donation in her memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of your choice.
