It is with sadness we announce the death of our aunt, sister-in-law and friend, Dorothy Mabel Oke who was born in England April 16, 1921, died at Kamloops Hospice House January 17, 2012.
Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Jack Oke as well as all of her siblings.
She is survived by relatives and friends scattered throughout England and North America.
Dorothy and Jack were avid rockhounds and also enjoyed travelling with the RV Club. They explored most of the Provincial Parks in the southern part of BC. They spent many winters in Hemet California. Dorothy enjoyed golfing, was a great knitter and played a mean game of Scrabble. Doing the daily crossword puzzle in the paper and reading the hundreds of books she owned kept her busy in her later years.
A Memorial Service will be held at Kamloops United Church, 421 St. Paul St, Kamloops on Friday, April 20, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. when roads are better for travel. Note that the building is scent-free. Thank you.
