It is with great regret to announce the passing of Grace McCulloch on January 31, 2012. Grace was born in Kamloops on September 10, 1924.
Grace was predeceased by her husband George, daughter Bessie Marshall, five brothers and three sisters.
She leaves behind her daughter Gloria Ila Pawchuk from Phoenix, and son Reg Daniel Demmon of Kamloops, brother Oliver Phelps. Grandchildren Cheryl, Candis, Sammie, Melody, Kevin & Danielle and many nieces and nephews. Great grandchildren Brandon, Ciara, Colton, Jackson, Avery, Rhyo, Brydan, Alicia & Craig.
We would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Gorman and the nursing staff on 6 South. A very special thank you for their loving care at the Hospice and a big thank you to Chaplain Viktor Gundel for performing the final prayers. Her bridge friends, Edie & Ruby, nieces Lyn & Dale for all their love and support who made the journey with us much easier.
Grace was born in Kamloops, married and moved to Trail where she lived and raised her family. After the passing of her husband George, Grace returned to Kamloops to live. She had many interests in life from animals, curling to bridge and especially loved nature and the beauty surrounding her. For all who knew Grace they will never forget her incredible sense of humour, which will be dearly missed and her knack for telling a good joke always.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kamloops Hospice Association. No service by request.
God Called You Home
God looked around his garden
And found an empty space;
He then looked down upon this earth
And saw your tired face.
He put His arms around you
And lifted you to rest;
God's garden must be beautiful,
He only takes the best.
He knew you were in pain,
He knew you might never
Get well upon this earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb,
so He closed your weary eyelids
and whispered 'Peace be thine'.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you never went alone,
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
