Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Ethel Avery.
Mom was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church. She was involved in card clubs most of her life, and loved a good game of 45’s. Mom’s greatest passion in life was her family which was evident with family gatherings and the joy of laughter that came with it. She is survived by her children: Veronica Stewart (Victor), Ottawa; Mary Howard (Harry), Grimsby, Ont; Edward Hudry (Joan), Stellarton; Geraldine Berry (Keith), Milford; Donna Gennoe (Bill), Stellarton; Bernadette Nelson (Terry), Beaverbank; 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild.
She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Francis Hudry, a grandson Harry David Howard, two sisters and two brothers.
Her remains will rest in the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Home, Stellarton, for visiting from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday. Mass of Christian Burial will be held from Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church on a day and time to be announced. Burial will take place in the Brookside Cemetery, New Glasgow.
Special thanks to Dr. Lincoln and staff at the Aberdeen Hospital who were so kind and caring with our mother.
