A former Moose Jaw Canucks hockey player has passed away. Orval Gwynne Lovett died June 8, 2011 in British Columbia. He was a member of the Saskatchewan Moose Jaw Canucks from 1946 to 1948. Gwynne was predeceased by his father, Herbert Ray Lovett in 1950. He died from mustard-gas poisoning he got during WWI. His mother, Brita Christine died in 1989. His brother, Herbert Roy Lovett died from cancer in 2006. He played for the Moose Jaw Canucks also. Gwynne is survived by several nieces and nephews and his sister, Florence June Helm.
