POWER, Gordon Anthony– Passed away suddenly at the family home in Outer Cove on February 2, 2012 aged 60 years (retired St. John’s fireman). Predeceased by his parents John and Mary Power, brothers: infant Gerald, Ronald, Gerald (Ocean Ranger Disaster), and sister Barbara. Left to cherish his memory his brothers: Jim (Anne), Nix (Fe), Toronto; sisters: Kay Fewer (Gerry deceased), Anne Holwell (George decreased), Mary Field (Alex), Frances Williams (Ted), Port Moody, B.C., Donna Codner, Dolores Roche (Kevin). Also leaving with happy and fond memories special niece and godchild Tanya Power (Tony and James) and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins; uncle and aunts: James Hickey (Loretta), Betty Hickey and Kay Hickey; brothers-in-law Arnold Codner and Jim LeGrow, sister-in-law Gloria Power as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends and his feline companion, Jack. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, Torbay. Visitation on Saturday, February 4th from 5 p.m.- 9 p.m. and Sunday February 5th from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. Mass of Christian burial from St. Francis of Assisi Church, Outer Cove on Monday, February 6th, 2012 at 10 a.m. Cremation to follow. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in the charity of your choice.
