Jean K. Gardner, 90, Bradenton, Florida, passed away on February 3, 2012.
Born in New Glasgow, NS, on March 27, 1921, Jean was a daughter of William Scott and Racelle Marcella Fraser.
She graduated as a nurse from Jeffery Hale Hospital in Quebec, then worked in Halifax, New York and Florida.
Besides her parents, Jean was predeceased by her husband Jack Gardner; brothers: Holden, Bill, Roy and sisters, Winifred, Vera.
She is survived by her sister Betty Fulton, Dartmouth, and many nieces and nephews.
Jean resided in Florida for over 50 years and was a frequent summer visitor to Chance Harbour, Pictou County, where she enjoyed the company of her sisters and their families. Jean was an avid golfer who lived a full life and remained independent until her death.
The funeral was held on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Bradenton, Florida.
