CLARKSON, JEAN GERTRUDE - Surrounded by her loving family, the death of Jean Clarkson occurred at the Rocmaura Nursing Home on Thursday, February 9, 2012. Born October 19, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Genevieve (Gillis) Clarkson. Jean retired from nursing in 1983, after working at the DVA Hospital for 32 years. She was a graduate of the Mount Carmel Academy of the St. Joseph’s School of Nursing. Jean is survived by her brother Joseph R. Clarkson, as well as many cousins. She was predeceased by her parents.
Although there will be no visitation, relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial, which will be celebrated on Monday, February 13, 2012 at 12:00 noon at Our Lady of the Assumption Church.Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Remembrances to the Rocmaura Foundation or the SPCA Animal Rescue would be appreciated by the family.
