LLOYD, DONALD - At his residence, February 12, 2012, Mr. Donald Lloyd of New Denmark passed away at the age of 78 years. He was the husband of Hilda (Ouellette) (Bonsant) Lloyd whom he married in 1996. Born at Three Brooks in 1933, he was a son of the late Amos and Stella (Lewellyn) Lloyd. He is survived by his wife, one son, Robert (Laurie) of New Denmark, four daughters, Marilyn Savage (Rick) of Plaster Rock, Shelly of Fredericton, Kathy of Ontario and Sharon Black of Plaster Rock, step-daughters, Carla Parent (Leo-Pold) of New Denmark, Mona Everett (Danny) of Alberta, Marsha Edgar (Marc Morin) of Grand Falls and Lecha Ouellette (Claude) of Drummond, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, two sisters, Betty Jensen (Sterling) and Maxine Caron (Albert) of New Denmark, four brothers, John and David "Kim" (Carolyn) of New Denmark, Frank (Bernadette) of Bristol, CT and Royce (Claudette) of Hartford, CT, as well as nieces and nieces. He was predeceased by his first wife, Avis (Stevensen), son Donnie, brother Havelock and sisters Marjorie, Elaine, Linda and Debra.
Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. His funeral service will be held Thursday, February 16th at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with Father Curtis Sappier officiating. Interment will be in St. Ansgar's Anglican Cemetery, New Denmark. For those who wish, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. www.oregans.ca
