Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family on Sunday, February 19, 2012, at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, Shirley Thorne, aged 86 years. Predeceased by her husband Carson; brother Leighton Bugden; sisters: Jean Crocker and Audrey Edstrom; grandson Wade Thorne. Leaving to mourn son Randy (Debbie); daughter Deborah Hiscock “The Lady Taylor” (Ray); two grandchildren: Wayne and Wanda Thorne; sisters: Jessie Browne and Betty Johnston; sisters-in-law: Grace Luby and Joyce Thorne, England; a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road with visitation from 10-12 noon, 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday and on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. from the Anglican Cathedral. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road.
