SMITH, Ina Audrey – 86, of Victoria Vale, passed away peacefully at Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Middleton on February 21, 2012. She was born in York, England on December 28, 1925, the daughter of Sydney and Florence (Orrey) Wrigglesworth. She was predeceased by her husband William Ernest Smith, brothers Trevaglan and Jack and her sister Brenda (Salt). She is survived by her son Alexander and daughter in-law Francesca (Victoria Vale), her grandchildren Graham and wife Taryn (South Africa), Ian and Meghan (Ontario), her bonus grandchildren Gibar and wife Stephanie (Colorado), Daniel (Hawaii) and Jennifer (Idaho), her great-grandchildren Kyla, Jordan, Ethan and Lincoln (South Africa). During the war, Audrey drove a two ton Bedford for the Territorial Army. She was a homemaker during the years after the war who enjoyed knitting, jazz and owned a motorcycle. She will be missed by her family. A memorial service for friends and family will be held at her son Alex’s home on March 3rd, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. A special note of thanks to the doctors and nurses at Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital for her excellent care, and to the facilitators and friends of the VON Adult Care day program at N.S.C.C. Middleton.
