MEYER: Judith (Judy) Ann Meyer, age 60, of Swift Current, SK, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Cypress Regional Hospital. The Memorial Service was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 23, 2012 at First United Church with Lay Pastoral Minister Marie Barr of the United Church in Cabri, SK officiating. The organist was Joan Williamson. Life Tribute was presented by Scott Sinclair and Julio Sanchez was the Urn Bearer. Honorary Pallbearers were all who shared in Judy’s life. The Interment Service will take place at Mount Pleasant Burial Park, Swift Current, SK at a later date. Judy was born in Vanguard, SK. on March 11, 1951. She attended school in Madison and graduated from Grade 12 in Abbey. SK. Judy married Ken Meyer on June 27, 1970 in Lancer, SK, enjoying 41 years together. Judy started work at the Swift Current Union Hospital, working in the operating room. She then transferred to the X-ray Department , as a Medical Transcriptions and received and received her 35 year pin in November of 2011. Judy was an active canvasser for the Diabetes Association. In her spare time Judy loved fishing, camping, gardening, cooking and planting flowers in her yard with her granddaughter Dani. Spending time with family and friends was very important and she loved caring for her family and friends when they needed her help. Judy is survived by her mother Marion Diehl of Lancer, SK.; her loving husband Ken Meyer of Swift Current; son Brad (Alisa) Meyer of Swift Current; granddaughter Dani Meyer of Swift Current; brother Terry (Shirley) Diehl of Sceptre, SK. nieces Leanne and Vicki Diehl and many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Alvin Diehl; grandparents Jake and Alvina Bay and Henry and Elizabeth Diehl; mother and father-in-law Rose and John Meyer and sister-in-law Caroline Moberg. Judy will be truly missed but fondly remembered by her family and friends. In her memory, memorial donation may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 43 1st Ave. N.E., Swift Current, SK. S9H 2A9.
