It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Shirley Thora Julia Mather on Saturday February 25th. Shirley was born in Swift Current, Saskatchewan on March 31 , 1933. She is survived by Her sons Brian Keith Mather, Kevin Edward Mather and her daughter Sharon Kathleen Orcutt [nee: Mather] along with 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She was predeceased by her loving husband Raymond ( Red) Mather and her parents Gary and Edith Nicholson.

Shirley was an excellent artist and an experienced mover having to move from town to town and province to province while her husband Red worked at building gas plants and refineries throughout the country. Though she lived in Fort St John for the past + 25 years prior to that she and her family moved over 30 times. She will be missed by her many great friends both here and throughout the country.

A memorial service will be held at the Baptist Church Friday March 2, 2012 at 2 pm.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Salvation Army or Canadian Cancer society.
