KEARNEY, JAMES (JIM) FRANCIS - It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of James (Jim) Francis Kearney which occurred on Friday, March 2, 2012 at the Hospital Enfant-Jesus de Caraquet, NB. He courageously battled a rare type of cancer called Mesothelioma. Born in Saint John, NB, he was the son of late Kenneth and Susan (Fulton) Kearney. He is survived by his loving family; his wife, Dorila Cormier, two daughters, Denise and Danika, and two grand-daughters, Kyla and Vanessa; all of Gatineau, QC; a sister, Laura, a brother, Stirling, of Edmonton, AB, and a brother, Harris, of Saint John, NB as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by three brothers, Kenneth, Robert and Richard.
Resting at the Racicot Funeral Home in Caraquet, NB, hours of visitation will be on Sunday, March 4th 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Monday, March 5th, 2 to 3:30 with funeral service at 4 pm. The family wished to thank the Palliative Unit of L'Enfant Jesus Hospital de Caraquet for the excellent care given during his illness. The family asked that donations be offered in Jim's name at the L'Enfant Jesus Hospital in Caraquet, NB.
