STEWART, SHIRLEY - With sadness we announce the passing of Shirley Marie (Dugay) Stewart, loving wife of Robert Stewart, which occurred on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1929 in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Katherine Dugay. Besides her husband Robert, she is survived by her children Lorne (Terry) MacFarlane, Kim (David) Capson and Shelley Alfaro; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Evelyn Dugay, Micheline Dugay and Janice Dugay; Robert’s children, Alfred (Lyla) Stewart, Susan Stewart, Stephanie Lyttle-Stewart, Norman Stewart and Rob (Sue) Stewart; Robert’s nine grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband Fraser MacFarlane, daughter Chris Malcolm and brothers Edward “Ted” Dugay, James Dugay and Bill Dugay.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). By request there will be no visitation.
