It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Dale Ofstedahl. Born in Assiniboia, SK to Maxwell and Lillian Ofstedahl.

He is survived by his Children Crystal (Rayan) Drury, Steven (Marcie Houseman) Ofstedahl, Joel Gregory, Melody (Greg MacMillan) Gregory, Angela (Kevin Gulbransen) Daniels and Kiko Carisse; Grandchildren Caden, Kira, Nicolas, Jakob and Kohl; Siblings Larry (Jan) Ofstedahl, Vernon (Donna) Ofstedahl, Shelley (Merv) Pilsner, Heather (Ray Girard) Gunn and Maxine (Curtis Kereliuk) Johnson; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

He was predeceased by both of his parents and brother Kelly.

Dale grew up in Moose Jaw where he made many lifelong friends and memories. After moving to Calgary for a short time he decided to relocate to Edmonton so that he could attend the electrical apprenticeship program at the University of Alberta. Upon completion of the apprenticeship program he lived and worked in and around Edmonton until he found the mountains. In the years following, he travelled back mostly to Alberta for work but he lived in Kamloops, Armstrong and then finally Falkland where he shared the remainder of his life with his sweetheart Anita Miki. Dale will be remembered most for his guitar playing and larger than life heart. He was always the life of the party, entertaining with his songs and always going out of his way to help someone in need. He was loved by so many people and he wasn't afraid to love back. His final days were spent at a beautiful hospice brightened with his family by his side and the many well wishes and phone calls he received.

A Celebration of Dale's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday March 12th, 2012, at Alternatives Chapel (2980 Smith Drive, Armstrong, BC) followed by a luncheon at the Kinsmen Hall in Armstrong.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the North Okanagan Hospice Society or charity of your choice.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services (250-546-7237).
