Cecil Elliott, long-time resident of Pineview and Fort St. John, passed away at home on March 7, 2012.  He is survived by his wife of 48 years,
Lana-Gay (Cramer), son Allan (Terry), daughter Jenny Rondeau and four grandchildren.  He was predeceased by his parents, three brothers, and two sisters.
 
Born in Goodwood, Ontario on September 2, 1926, Cecil and his twin brother were middle of a family of three girls and nine boys.  He moved to the Peace Country in 1948, falling in love with the west after being posted to Vernon, BC, with the Canadian Army during World War II.  He farmed in Pineview from 1949 until 1994, when he and Lana-Gay retired to land overlooking his beloved farm.  They moved into Fort St. John in 2008 due to his failing health.
