Cynthia Emma Chalker (nee Brazil)

(January 3, 1934 – March 12, 2012). Passed away suddenly in the presence of her adoring family at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital. Predeceased by her husband John Oswald, parents Richard Augustus and Annie May Brazil (Crewe), along with sisters: Audrey Gilmore, Shirley Fleming and Elizabeth, and brothers: David and Douglas (Roy); Leaving to mourn and forever in the hearts of her adoring children: Roberta (John), Jacqueline (Karl), Richard (Susan), Christopher (Barbara), Christine, Elizabeth (Majid) and Jeanette. Leaving with cherished memories, her grand-children: Nancy, Trevor, Matthew, Cynthia, Michael, Timothy, Arron, Benjamin, Jacob, Shawdy, Natalie, Samuel, Ashkahn and Luke, along with great grandson Harrison; Leaving her sisters: Beryl and Ruth, along with many nieces and nephews; also leaving her cherished sister-in-law Lena Moore, with whom she had a life-long special bond in friendship, along with brothers-in-law: Peter (Ellen) and Gordon (Marjorie); as well as a large circle of family and friends including residents of St. Georges Court Apartments, especially Fred Bush, Carol Lane, Ray Druken and Pat Cochrane; residents and staff of Pearl House Seniors Home, especially her new friend Margaret (Mick) Hunt. Cynthia was known far and wide for her delicious date crumbles and her obliging demeanour - both will be remembered fondly and will be sadly missed by many. Cremation has taken place. Visitation at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on both Wednesday, March 14th and Thursday, March 15th. Funeral service will take place at the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Friday, March 16th at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road. No flowers by request.
