Donald Richard Fraser (Don) passed away peacefully in Merritt after a courageous battle with Cancer He was 74 years old. Born in St Albert, AB January26,1938. Don worked throughout many areas of BC, AB & the Yukon as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He retired from Craigmont Mine in 2006. After retiring Don began his new career as Pilot Car Escort for 0ver-sized vehicles. Don was active with the legion for many years. He had a natural charisma, & a great sense of humour, always quick with a comeback line. He loved his family, friends & armchair sports. Don was the guy you could depend on at a moment’s notice to drop everything and lend a hand to anyone.

Don was predeceased by his parents Alfred & Margret, sister Edith and infant brother Georgie. Survived by his wife Doreen, sister Marg, brother Wes (Joyce), numerous nieces & nephews, a wonderful network of friends & his Children; Donna (Mike),Calvin, Debbie (Leon),Jackie, Gerry, Scott, Steven (Christine), Angie (Blaine), Lorrie (Glen) Donnie, Terry Grandchildren; James, Darcy (Jason), Ritchie, Elizabeth (Travis), Brandon, Jennifer (Troy), Brian, Amy (Guy), Michelle, Terrance, Jaegar, Cole, Ashley, Gavin, Kennady, Rielly, Danika and Ty Great Grandchildren; Kelti, Kailah,Kali, Kamber-Lee, Emagin, Eclipse, David, Joseph and Lincoln On behalf of the family, thank you for your expressions of love & support. For those of you that came to cry with us & to hold our hands & comfort us, words cannot express our heartfelt gratitude for your presence.
