Passed away at the Health Sciences Centre on Monday, March 19th, 2012, after a short illness, Ignatius (Ig) Joseph (1932-2012). Predeceased by parents John Edward and Minnie Dower of Conche, sister Maude Giguere and daughter-in-law Lia. Left to mourn his loving wife of 50 years, Mary (Griffin), beloved sons John, Brian (Ed) and Gerard (Angie), sisters Kaye Bromley, Sr. Loretta Dower, Frances (Lawrence – deceased) Lewis, Florence (Don) Hiscock, Leone (Bill) Noftall, Angela (Mike – deceased) Kajganich and brother Austin (Alice), grandfather to Emily, Julia and Peryn, brother-in-law to Bill (Jean – deceased) Griffin, John (Carmel) Bridge and Gerard (Margot) Giguere, uncle to many nieces and nephews. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation Wednesday and Thursday from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Friday, March 23rd at 9:30 a.m. from St. Teresa’s Church. Cremation to follow with inurnment at Belvedere Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to The Gathering Place, 172 Military Road, St. John’s NL A1C 5P5 or a charity of one’s choice.
