It is with saddened hearts the family of Laura Rogers, from Weybridge, announce her peaceful passing at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on March 19, 2012, at the age of 86. Predeceased by her parents Henry George and Florence Humby, husband Graham, daughters Selina, Florence and Gertie, brothers James and Albion, sisters Eva (Norman) and Lilly (Jack). Laura leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories her sons: Merrill (Marilyn), Calvin (Arlene), Hughie (Beverley); daughters: Joyce, Vera (Clarence Maloney), Norma (Wayne March), Patricia (Dennis Reid), Wanda (George Skinner), Arlean (Kevin King); sisters-in-law: Florence and Jenny; 27 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 35 great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at the Central United Church, Elliott's Cove, Random Island, from where the funeral service will take place on Thursday, 2 p.m. with interment following at the United Church Cemetery, Weybridge, Random Island. Donations in her memory may be made to the Weybridge United Church Cemetery Fund or the Children's Wish Foundation.
