Mr. Walter George Gucwa passed away on March 20, 2012, at 86 years of age.

He is survived by his loving wife Frances (nee Partridge), his only son John (Deborah) and grandchildren Jessica and Elizabeth.

Walter immigrated to Canada from Poland after World War II and settled in Kamloops with Frances where they raised their family. He worked for Canadian National Railway for 35 years in the B&B Division.

Some of his favourite activities were gardening, bowling and golfing. He and mom loved their bingo and spent many happy hours there. He was a member of the ANAVETS club where he loved to socialize and play crib with friends.

He loved his many pets, especially his cat Puddles. Walter was a kind, quiet man with a great sense of humour. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A Graveside Service will be held at Pleasant Street Cemetery, 8th & Pleasant St., on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Harry Bicknell officiating.
