WELLS - W. Ross, age 91, passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at the Cypress Regional Hospital in Swift Current. Ross was born in Swift Current and grew up in the Burnham district. He joined the RCAF in 1942 and returned to the Swift Current area in 1945. He married Mary Keeler on February 28, 1946. They farmed together with Ross’ brother, Harvey, in the Waldeck/Burnham district. Ross and Mary raised four children - Lee, Lorna, Doug (Jody), and Rob (Carol). They retired from farming and moved to Swift Current in 1983. He is survived by his wife, Mary; their four children; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; Harry and Jeanie, and three brothers - Bob, Jim and Harvey. The Funeral Service was held on Monday, March 19, 2012, at 2:00 pm from St. Stephen the Martyr Anglican Church, Swift Current, SK with Rev. Jonathan Hoskin officiating. The organist for the service was Janet Neubauer. “Holy, Holy, Holy”, “More Than We Can Ever Ask or Imagine”, and “Sing Glory” were the hymns sung by the congregation. The ushers in the church were Stephen Philip and Dean James. The Interment Service was held at Mount Pleasant Burial Park. In memory of W. Ross Wells, donations made to the Charity of the Donor’s Choice would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements were in care of Swift Current Funeral Home, Swift Current, SK.
