McALLISTER, JOYCE - With her family by her bedside, Joyce McAllister of Tilley passed away at the Upper River Valley Hospital on March 24, 2012. Born in Upper Kent, NB on February 7, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Gordon and Lillian Foster Crain. Joyce leaves behind her daughters Pamela Pelkey (Steven) of Arthurette, Nancy Pelkey (Dan) of Aroostook; sons Tom McAllister (Brenda) of Three Brooks, Mike McAllister (Penny) of Gladwyn, Peter McAllister (Lisa) of Aylesford, NS; stepson Donald McAllister (Mary) of Presque Isle, ME; sisters Edna Foran of North Bay, ON, Darlene Higgins (Paul) Presque Isle, Lois Ruff (Cy) of Oshawa, ON; her brother Bill Crain (Leta) of Riverview, NB; 14 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Thomas McAllister; her child baby McAllister; sisters Jenny Tomlinson, Mona Hills; brothers Jack Crain and Winston Crain; and her granddaughter Somer Kelly-Pelkey.
Resting at Calvary Tabernacle, Perth-Andover, with visitation on Tuesday 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at 2 pm from the church. Rev. Amanda Longmoore officiating. Interment will follow in the Lerwick Free Will Baptist Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover.
