It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved father, on Monday, March 26, 2012, in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish.
He was born in Groves Point, Cape Breton, on Jan. 7, 1932, to Judson and Ruth (MacKinnon) Taylor. His mother Ruth died shortly after his birth from complications of child birth. He started his career at the Bras D’or Coal Company as a mechanic. He then continued his career at Stora Enso, Point Tupper as a stationary engineer and supervisor in the ‘Steam Plant’. He was a long-time member of the Port Hawkesbury Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He loved gardening and had his best success with flowers. He was a true gentleman and lover of life. He enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family and friends on many school, hockey, swim team outings. He especially enjoyed skiing in the winter, camping and spending time on the beaches in the summer. During his retirement he enjoyed outings with his only son, Judson and their many friends.
