SKINNER, John Arthur – Of Kelowna, B.C. passed away peacefully on Friday, December 4, 2009 at “The Village At Mill Creek” – he was 89 years old. Art and his wife Elizabeth (Betty) moved to Kelowna from St. John’s Newfoundland in 1996. He leaves his wife Betty of 66 years; son Wayne (Marcia) of Kelowna; two grandchildren: Ralna (Jon) Knudson of Visalia, California, Rebecca (Troy) Steeves of Moncton, New Brunswick; three great-grandchildren: Trent and Paige of Visalia, California, and Ava Joy of Moncton, New Brunswick. Art was predeceased by his parents, his brother Carey and his sister Jean. In addition he leaves a large number of nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate Art’s life will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at 11:00 am at St. Paul’s United Church, 3131 Lakeshore Road, Kelowna, BC.
