BROWN, Edyth Frances - 91, formerly of Upper Clements, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2012, at the Annapolis Royal Nursing Home. Born in Bridgewater, NS, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Orabelle (Hiltz) Bustin. She is survived by daughter, Jean (Kevin) Smith, Belleisle; sons, Larry, Fredericton; David (Christine); Donald (Marcia); and William (Bonny), all of Upper Clements; 16 grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, Edyth was predeceased by her husband, Robert, stepmother, Hope Bustin and brothers, Arthur and Lloyd. Wanting to serve her country during the Second World War, Edyth joined the C.W.A.C. in 1942 and served as a telephone operator in Saint John, NB. She had special memories of her army posting there and travelling home on leave across the Bay of Fundy, on the "Princess Helene", escorted by a corvette. When the war ended, the town girl from Bridgewater became the busy farm wife from Upper Clements, where she raised five children while working with her husband on the family farm. Edyth was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was also a lover of flowers, both in her garden and in her home. Cremation has taken place. No funeral by request. Interment in Oakhill Cemetery. The family will gather to celebrate her life later this year when all her beloved grandchildren can be present. The family would like to thank her in-home caregivers and the staff of the Annapolis Royal Nursing Home for the wonderful care given to their mother. Donations in memory may be made to Annapolis Royal Historic Gardens, PO Box 278, Annapolis Royal, NS B0S 1A0. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home and Crematorium, 192 Commercial Street, Berwick, Nova Scotia  B0P 1E0.
