June 9, 1924 - April 3, 2012. Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, April 3, 2012, in the presence of her loving family, Bertha Pitcher of Green’s Harbour in her 87th year. Predeceased by her husband John; daughter, Shirley; granddaughter, Jackie; parents, Leonard and Blanche Brace and brothers: Llewellyn and James. Leaving to mourn and celebrate her life with thanksgiving are her three daughters: Lorraine (Syd) Giles, Garden Cove, Florrie (John) Engle, Green’s Harbour, Violet (John) Boone, Green’s Harbour; five sons: Leonard (Lucy), Green’s Harbour, Don (Sandi), Edmonton, Eric (Christine), Green’s Harbour, Winston (Carolyn), Green’s Harbour, Terry (Yvonne), Green’s Harbour; twenty-two grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, one sister Alma (Norman) Crocker, Green’s Harbour; sister-in-law, Sylvia Brace and a large circle of other family and friends. Resting at the Salvation Army Citadel, Green’s Harbour on Wednesday, April 4th from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral. Funeral service will be held from the Salvation Army Citadel, Green’s Harbour on Thursday, April 5th at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Green’s Harbour. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Warren’s Funeral Home, Dildo. As an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the Salvation Army Green’s Harbour Corps.
